I need help! My 3 month old wakes multiple times in the night. Bedtime is around 7 pm each night and we start our bedtime routine at 6. I’ve tried the dream feed (bed at 7, dream feed at 1030) and he still wakes around 130, then 430 and is impossible to get back to sleep. Once that didn’t work I ditched the dream feed but he wakes between 1030 and 1230 each night, then again between 230 and 330 and awake again at 6. I feel like I’ve tried everything and we’re just playing catch up all day trying to reset.
Would love any advice that you may have.

Hi Zanna,

It sounds like you've set the environment up really well. Well done on the white noise, dark room, swaddle etc. At around this time the structure of sleep changes for a baby's brain. It's called the 4 month sleep regression but can happen earlier at 3 months and sometimes later at 5 months. Typically catnapping really emerges and babies become overtired.
I would trim back the awake time to 90 mins +/- 15 mins tops to help get on top of the over tiredness. Also you need to work on some self-settling skills for your baby so that they can begin to link their sleep cycles. This is how you achieve a longer nap than 45 mins. I have on my Facebook page a post where you can download my top 4 sleep tips for free. It covers how to begin to teach self settling in a very gentle way (if you can't see it send me an email and I will e-mail it to you) Sounds like you're doing an awesome job!

Hi Emma, my 11 week old has always woken up at 5:30am. Even kicked in my tummy at this time every morning and is always smiling and giggling away while I try get another half hour haha. I’m okay with this as he goes down for his night sleep by 6pm and I dream feed him at 10pm so I feel it’s his normal wake up time. However his catnapping during the day is getting worse. I can keep him awake for 1.5-2 hours at a time but 30-45 minutes is the max he will sleep and he no longer has a big nap anywhere as I’m putting him down in his bassinet (big feed, swaddled, dark room, white noise) and not letting him sleep on me anymore. By the end of the day his naps are all over the place Around 4-5 and he’s a pretty cranky baby. Any advice on how to improve and lengthen his sleeps as it’s starting to impact the nights also I’m up every 2 hours from 10pm. Thanks!
